KENOSHA, Wis. - The Illinois Institute of Technology men's track and field team competed in the Gill Athletics Final Qualifier at Carthage College on Friday. No team scores were kept at the meet.

Meet Highlights

• Joseph Yassin stood out as one of the meet's top throwers, setting the Illinois Tech record in both the weight throw and shot put. He placed fifth in the shot put at 14.52m and ninth in the weight throw at 13.45m.
• The 4x400 relay team of Demis Thomas, John Xavier, Diego Gutierrez Coronel, and Cole Dammeier placed fourth with a time of 3:41.92, missing a school record by four seconds.
• Xavier also stood out in the 55 Meter, placing 13th at 6.92s.

• Tech will compete at St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana in the Gene and Rose Edmonds Invitational. The meet is set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
