CHICAGO, Ill. - The Illinois Institute of Technology men's volleyball team hosted North Central College on Wednesday night. Tech was defeated in straight sets.

How it Happened
- North Central started the match on a 5-1 rally before the Scarlet Hawks were able to close the gap, eventually taking the lead at 10-9 on a Filip Letkiewicz kill. The Cardinals quickly took back control with a 7-0 run and held the lead the rest of the way.
- The Scarlet Hawks started strong in set two, building a 7-3 lead from the get-go. However, NCC slowly chipped away at the lead and went ahead for good at 14-13.
- In set three, it was North Central's turn to build an early advantage, going up 4-0 and then 12-5. Tech built momentum behind a few Alex Babusci kills, but the Cardinals were able to hold on to win the match.
Scarlet Hawk Standouts
- Babusci led the team in both kills (10), aces (two), and digs (eight). It was his 11th match with double-digit kills this season.
- Ryan Barnes tallied seven kills and a team-high .235 hitting percentage.
- Andrew Woltman recorded 24 assists.
- Kyle Bumpass added three kills and a team-high two blocks (one solo, one assisted).
