Final Run Before Nationals

The Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed at the AAE Invitational hosted at the Lake Breeze Golf Course by University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.  "This was the biggest and deepest meet that I've been part of in a long time. 47 teams from 10 different states toed the line, most of them trying to establish themselves as potential qualifiers or even National title contenders".

Sam Wietlspach led the men's team once again, crossing the finish line in 26:20. Adam Becker was next for the Scarlet Hawks, followed by Calvin Demski. "I feel good about the performance that the new people turned in today. We are rebuilding and it seems that we are heading into the right direction" said assistant coach Raul Botezan. Demski had a personal best run, lowering his time by over 30 seconds. Quentin Shipley and Landon Vowels rounded up the top 5 for Illinois Tech.

This race concludes the regular season for the Scarlet Hawks Cross Country. A three week break will follow, where the runners will tune up for the USCAA National Championships, held in Syracuse, NY.
