Chicago, IL- The Scarlet Hawks took a short trip to downtown Chicago to take on rivals Moody Bible in the first of two match-ups scheduled between Moody and Tech this season. Tech forward Jessica Henriques shined with 20 points and 11 rebounds as the Hawks fell to Moody 77-38.

In the first half, Moody played great defense, holding the Hawks to only 14 points while putting up 29 points of their own. It wasn't a great offensive half for either team but Moody went into the locker room with a 15 point lead.

The second half saw both teams converting shots from the field with more efficiency but the Hawks couldn't cut into Moody's lead. Moody scored an impressive 48 points in the second and outscored Tech 48-24 in the half; resulting in their 77-38 victory.

Henriques led Illinois Tech with 20 points while both Adrianna Maron and Hailey Borowczyk chipped in with 8 points each.
