LOS ANGELES, Calif.- The Illinois Institute of Technology played its second game in as many days out in California on Saturday afternoon. Tech fell to Occidental College 75-18.
How it Happened
- Brooke Bell, Yesenia Alarcon, and Hailey Borowczyk all hit shots in the first half, but the Occidental offense put Tech on its heels. Tech trailed 38-6 at half.
- Illinois Tech put together its best offensive quarter in the third. Borowczyk scored four of the team's nine points while Venika Jarvis pulled down three rebounds.
- Occidental built its lead in the fourth, outscoring the Hawks 16-3 en route to a 75-18 win.
Scarlet Hawk Standouts
- Borowczyk led Tech with six points. She also added four rebounds.
- Jarvis and April Wanagas led the Hawks in rebounding with seven and six respectivley.
- Lindsay Zasadzinski and Rebecca Bell each tallied three points off the bench.
