CHICAGO, Ill.- The Illinois Institute of Technology women's basketball team hosted the Raiders of Milwaukee School of Engineering on Wednesday night. Tech fell 82-21.
How it Happened
- Tech's best quarter of the night came in the first, with Tech netting 10 points and forcing three turnovers. Rebecca Bell scored five points off the bench in six minutes.
- Tech's defense improved in the second, allowing just 16 points compared to 20 in the first quarter. The Raiders led 36-13 at half.
- The Scarlet Hawks struggled on offense in the third, but MSOE shot just 4-of-12 from the floor in the quarter and scored just 10 points.
- MSOE broke through in the fourth, recording 10 steals and shooting 81.2% from the floor to arrive at the 82-21 final.
Scarlet Hawk Standouts
- Hailey Borowczyk led the Scarlet Hawks with six points and four rebounds.
- Norma Flesvig added six points as well.
- Rebecca Bell tallied five points off the bench.
MSOE Notes
- Both Megan Kroll and Holly Denfeld led the Raiders with 14 points.
