CHICAGO, Ill. - The Illinois Institute of Technology women's basketball team played host to the Britons of Albion College on Saturday afternoon. Tech fell 101-32.
How it Happened
- In the first quarter, Tech netted nine points, but was unable to halt the Albion offense. The Scarlet Hawks trailed 20-9 heading into the second quarter.
- April Wanagas scored eight of her 13 first half points in the second quarter, shooting 2-of-4 from three-point land.
- Carrying a 46-21 lead into the second half, Albion built on the advantage, scoring 55 points in the second half en route to the 101-32 final.
Scarlet Hawk Standouts
- Wanagas scored her second-highest point total of the season, scoring 16 points and making four three-pointers. The senior also tallied four rebounds.
- Venika Jarvis led all players with 13 rebounds, her highest total of the season. Jarvis also scored six points.
- Hailey Borowczyk added six points with the starting unit.
