LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Illinois Institute of Technology women's basketball team traveled to Lake Forest College on Wednesday night. Tech fell 64-31.
How it Happened
- Tech's offense struggled in the first half, while Lake Forest shot just below 50% from the floor to take a commanding lead into the intermission.
- The Scarlet Hawks offense had its best quarter of the night in the third, shooting to the tune of 41.7% and notching 14 points. Rebecca Bell closed out the quarter with a half-court shot.
- Tech followed up a strong offensive quarter with a strong defensive quarter, winning the 10 minutes 11-9 while holding to Foresters to just 12.5% shooting.
Scarlet Hawk Standouts
- Hailey Borowczyk led the team in both points (10) and assists (three).
- Brooke Bell added seven points.
- Golbou Azadeh-Tehrany scored six points off the bench to go along with four rebounds.
- Venika Jarvis led Tech with 10 boards.
