MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Illinois Institute of Technology women's basketball team traveled to Milwaukee on Tuesday night to take on Mount Mary. The Scarlet Hawks fell 58-25.
How it Happened
- After Tech's defense struggled in the first half, the Scarlet Hawks held the Blue Angels to 11 points in the third quarter on just 25% shooting. Tech tallied eight points in the quarter.
- In the fourth, the Scarlet Hawks defense once again held strong, stifling Mount Mary to a tune of 15.4% shooting.
- Tech's offense, however, struggled throughout the contest, shooting 17.6% from the floor.
Scarlet Hawk Standouts
- Hailey Borowczyk led the Hawks with nine points, seven rebounds, and two steals.
- Gold Azadeh-Tehrany added five points and four rebounds off the bench.
