Chicago, Ill. - The Illinois Tech women's basketball team put forth a strong effort against undefeated and conference-leading Wisconsin Lutheran before falling to the Warriors 62-30 Saturday afternoon at the Keating Sports Center. The Scarlet Hawks fell to 5-17 overall (2-14 NACC). The Warriors improved to 20-0 overall (15-0 NACC).
Prior to the game, the team honored departing senior Meredith Williams of Houston, Texas. Joining Williams on the court during pre-game festivities were her parents Margie and Phillip Williams. Meredith has played in 71 games in her 3-year competitive career and the game on Saturday marked her 34th start in those contests. Meredith scored a career high of 13 points against Rockford in 2020 and grabbed a career high 8 rebounds against the same team in 2019. Meredith will graduate this spring with a Bachelors degree in Biology and will continue her work with animals as a veterinary technician.
The opening quarter for the Hawks was one of their better defensive quarters of the season, holding the high-powered Warriors offense to just 12 points, and closed the quarter training only by five points, 12-7.
The Warriors regained their dominating form in the second quarter, completing a 19-2 run to take command of the game.

- Julia Bucci finished with seven points and 15 rebounds.
- Deriniece Moton added seven points and eight rebounds.
