Illinois Tech senior Florencia Carrerou was named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse (MWLC) Offensive Player of the Week.  In the Scarlet Hawks first season as a part of the MWLC, they opened up their season with a 1-1 week as they fell to Albion College but bounced back to beat Defiance College later in the week for the program's first ever win.  

Carrerou was the key to that first program win as she led the team with four goals, four ground balls, three draw controls, and one caused turnover en route to a 10-9 thrilling victory.
