CHICAGO, Ill. - The Illinois Tech women's lacrosse team hosted The University of Dubuque on Monday night in a non-conference matchup. Tech was defeated 10-7, snapping the team's winning streak of five matches.

How it Happened
- The Spartans took control early, scoring the first three goals of the contest within the match's first seven minutes.
- After nearly 14 minutes of scoreless action for either team, the Scarlet Hawks found the back of the net for the first time courtsey of Alyssa DeLuca. Less than a minute later, Isabella Rubin scored at the 8:39 mark to make the score 3-2.
- Dubuque re-gained momentum with three straight tallies before Rubin scored once more before the halftime buzzer. The Spartans led 6-3 at the intermission.
- The two teams would trade goals for the first two-thirds of the second half. The Spartans then took a 10-5 lead with 6:36 remaining after two consecitive goals.
- Madison Meredith and Sarah Maciorowski tacked on late goals for the Scarlet Hawks.
Scarlet Hawk Standouts
- Meredith, Rubin, and DeLuca each scored twice. Rubin and Meredith each tallied five ground balls, while Meredith tied for the team lead with three draw controls.
- Sarah Maciorowski scored on her only shot of the night.
- Jennifer Young was strong on defense, leading the team with six ground balls and tying for the team lead with three caused turnovers.
Stats to Know
- Shots were even at 21.
- Dubuque held a heave advantage in draw controls at 14-5.
- Tech won the turnover battle 35-28.
