CHICAGO, Ill.- Illinois Institute of Technology women's soccer (1-3-2) made the short road trip to North Park on Wednesday night, falling 1-0 on the north side of Chicago to North Park University.
How it Happened
- The first half was very evenly matched, as both goalkeepers made three saves while North Park outshot Illinois Tech 7-6. Both teams failed to find the back of the net.
- In the second half, Tech was unable to score despite three corner kicks. On North Park's first corner kicks of the half in the 78th minute, Sara Brawley was able to score to give the Vikings the match's only offense.
- Both defenses were stifling the rest of the way, as no shots were attempted by either team over the final 11 minutes
Scarlet Hawk Standouts
- Ade Maron led the Scarlet Hawks with five shot attempts
- Anida Phetchanpheng had two shots on goal to lead all Tech players
- Kristen Barrett attempted two shots and led a defensive group that was strong once again
- Roxanne Myers made five saves in net
Vikings Notes
- Brawley scored on her only shot attempt
Stats to Know
- No team in any Illinois Tech match has scored more than one goal this season
- This was the team's fourth 1-0 decision of the season
- Shots were even at 12-12 for the match
