Women's Soccer Plays Elmhurst to a Draw

CHICAGO, Ill- Playing on the road against a tough Elmhurst College team on Tuesday night, the Illinois Institute of Technology women's soccer team (5-4-3) played the Bluejays to a 0-0 draw.

How it Happened

  • While Elmhurst owned possession for most of the match, Tech held strong defensively and forced 29 of the Bluejays' 38 shots to be off net. 
  • Elmhurst spread its shots out across the duration of the match, tallying 17 in each of the two regulation halves and two in each overtime period.
  • Tech had two chances in each half, as Ade Maron, Olivia Kochanek, Katherine Nishimoto, and Jessica Park each missed attempts. Maron and Nishimoto's shots were both on net.

Scarlet Hawk Standout

  • Roxanne Myers stole the show for the match, recording her second straight shoutout (sixth on the year) while making nine saves.
