SHEBOYGAN, Wis.- Playing shorthanded on Sunday afternoon, the Illinois Institute of Technology women's soccer team won a tough match on the road. Tech defeated Lakeland College 4-2.
How it Happened
- After Lakeland took an early 1-0 lead, Illinois Tech put together an impressive offensive sequence, scoring three goals in less than five minutes.
- In the 15th minute, Ade Maron scored her seventh goal on the season to tie the score.
- Just three minutes later, Kristen Barrett notched her fourth goal on the season to take a 2-1 lead.
- Roxanne Myers, getting the start in the field on Sunday, notched a goal in the 20th minute to take a 3-2 lead.
- Lakeland would score in the 68th minute, but Tech held on for the victory and get another tally from Barrett late.
