CHICAGO, Ill.- The Illinois Institute of Technology women's soccer put together an impressive match on Wednesday, downing Rockford University 9-0 at home while setting season bests in shots and shots allowed.

How it Happened

  • Tech dominated the first half, with Ade Maron stealing the show with three goals. She put the Scarlet Hawks on the board in the first minute before tallying again in the 23rd and 34th minutes off assists from Kristen Barrett and Kirsten Robinson.
  • Maron also began the scoring in the second half with an unassisted goal in the 56th minute. 
  • The Scarlet Hawks were not done, as the team scored five more goals after Maron's first second half tally. Olivia Kochanek (from Maron), Maron, Barrett, Malin Josefsen, and Robinson all scored to put the final at 9-0.

  • Maron led the team with 18 shots, 11 shots on goal, and five goals. She also tallied an assist.
  • Barrett added 15 shots, nine shots on goal, two assists, and a goal.
  • Robinson tallied 13 shots, a goal, and an assist.
  • Kochanek scored a goal and also totaled eight shots.
  • Josefsen's three shots were all on net, one of which resulted in her first goal of the season.
