CHICAGO, Ill.- The USCAA Tournament bound Illinois Institute of Technology women's soccer team opened the home schedule on a rainy Tuesday night, playing Mount Mercy to a 0-0 draw.
How it Happened
- Despite some heavy runs from Mount Mercy, the Scarlet Hawks were able to keep the Mustangs out of the net and take a scoreless tie into the half. The Mustangs attempted four shots in a three minute span in the middle of the half.
- Both teams exchanged oportunities in the second half, but neither could find the back of the net. Tech goalkeeper Jessica Park made a key save in the 89th minute to keep the match scoreless.
- Mount Mercy attempted four overtime corner kicks, but the Scarlet Hawks stopped each one and held the match to a tie.

- Getting her third start in net for the season, Park was stellar, stopping all seven shots she saw on net.
- Ade Maron led the Scarlet Hawks with six shots and three shots on goal.
