Chicago, Ill. - On a windy night at Stuart Field the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks defeated the visiting Alverno College Inferno 28-0 in a Northern Athletic Collegiate Conerence (NACC) contest. The 28 goal victory marked a program record for the Hawks with the most goals scored in a game.
How It Happened

After the first 45 minutes of action the Hawks led the Inferno 13-0. Goal scorers in the first half for the Hawks consisted of: Jayla Anaya (2), Jamie Griggs (2), Alexis Williamson, Laura Rios (2), Gabriella Baltes, Ayden Greene, Jillian Oligschlaeger, Lisa Rios and Rachel Brettin (2). Picking up assists were Anaya, Caitie Chismarich (2), Griggs, Genna Gaitan, Brettin and Carolyn Beltran. Illinois Tech outshot Alverno 38-0, with 22 on goal.

During the second half, the Hawks scored 15 goals. Second half goal scorers consisted of: Kayla Smith, Clàudia Martí Fanlo (2), Nicole Fajardo (3) Kenzie Tokuchi (2), Brettin (3), Greene, Laura Rios, Ally Sanchez and Akina Castellano. Assists came from Kelly Hitchcock, Smith, Martí Fanlo (2), Greene, Chismarich, and Mary Frampton. The Hawks outshot the Inferno 35-0 in the second half with 22 on goal.
