Scarlet Hawks Cruising in Final Regular Season Meet

The Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams closed out their final regular season meet against Wheaton College and North Central College with impressive swims and second place overall finishes on both sides.  On the women's side of the meet, nationally ranked Wheaton College won the meet with 191 points, Illinois Tech finished second with 114 points, and North Central College finished third with 102 points.

The freshmen women's breaststrokers highlighted the day for the Scarlet Hawks, as Brigitte Temple (1:09.77), Grace Wischmeyer (1:14.34) and Milica Gvozdjan (1:15.36) finished first through third respectively in the 100 Breaststroke. Gvozdjan also cruised to the top in the 200 Breaststroke (2:44.44). Briana Tyler also had a pair of second place finishes in the 200 IM (2:21.55) and the 100 Butterfly (1:04.09). Tech's diver Paige Mass completed her first set of 11-dives in a competition format and finished in 4th place with 261.85 points.

The meet marked the last competition before the Scarlet Hawks head to Cedar Rapids, IA to compete in the Liberal Arts Conference Championship meet hosted by Coe College. The meet begins on Thursday, February 12 and runs through Saturday, February 14
