Strong Day Holds Women’s Swimming and Diving in Third after Day 2

CHICAGO, Ill.- Through two days at University of Chicago's Phoenix Fall Classic, Illinois Institute of Technology's women's swimming and diving team continues to swim well. The Scarlet Hawks held third place on Saturday.

Saturday's Highlights

  • The 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Kristin Wills, Brigitte Temple, Briana Tyler, and Jasmine Duke placed six for the Hawks (1:55.70), earning 28 points.
  • Temple then reached the finals in the 200 Yard Individual Medley, placing 12th (2:15.77) and earning five points for the Hawks.
  • Temple wasn't finished, as she and Grace Wischmeyer each reached the finals in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. Temple placed eighth (1:10.01) and earned 11 points, while Wischmeyer placed 13th (1:13.73) and earned four points.
  • Wills earned 11 points for Tech in the 200 Yard Backstroke, placing eighth with a time of 2:16.28.
  • In the 100 Yard Freestyle, Duke placed 13th (55.02s) and earned four points.
  • Tyler performed well in the 200 Yard Butterfly, placing 11th (six points) with a time of 2:23.51.
  • Duke, Wills, and Temple combined to place in another relay, as along with Delaney Shepherd, the group placed sixth (30 points) in the 800 Yard Freestyle Relay (8:26.28).

Meet Wraps up Tomorrow

  • The Fall Classic at Chicago will conclude tomorrow. Events are set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
