Women’s Swimming and Diving Placed Fourth at U. Chicago

CHICAGO, Ill.- The Illinois Institute of Technology women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the three-day University of Chicago Phoenix Invite on Sunday. The Scarlet Hawks finished in fourth place in the 10-team event.

Sunday's Highlights

  • Brigitte Temple continued her strong weekend with a great performance in the 400 Yard Individual Medley, placing fourth and earning 15 points with a time of 4:44.67. 
  • Jasmine Duke earned six points in the 200 Yard Freestyle with an 11th place finish (2:00.85). She also earned four points in the 50 Yard Freestyle (13th place, 25.61s).
  • In the 100 Yard Butterfly, Briana Tyler placed 14th with a time of 1:03.14 (three points).
  • Both Grace Wischmeyer (10th place, 2:38.89, seven points) and Milica Gvozdjan (2:46.58, three points) earned points in the 200 Yard Breaststroke.
  • Two Tech swimmers also took home points in the 100 Yard Backstroke: Haley Slator (13th place, 1:06.96, four points) and Madeline Burrell (14th place, 1:07.06, three points).
  • Tech's 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Kristin Wills, Tyler, Temple, and Duke placed 10th (3:52.51, 28 points).
