GALESBURG, Ill. – The Illinois Tech women's track and field team competed in the Knox College Outdoor Open. Tech placed eighth in the event.

Meet Highlights

• Taylor Schaub won the high jump, competing in a field that featured Division I competition. Her mark was 1.53m.
• Rebecca Bell placed seventh in the 1500 meter at 5:33.38.

Quote of the Meet

• "The competition was challenging, but at a smaller meet such as this one, the event ran quickly. Focus had to be maintained constantly without much rest in between jumps," said Schaub on her mindset. "It was a positive day, which hopefully will set the pace for the final meets of the season."

• The Scarlet Hawks will compete in the Benedictine University Relays. The two-day event will take place on Friday and Saturday, starting at 10:00 a.m. on both days.
