OVERLAND PARK, Kan.- The Association of Division III Independents has revealed its All-Independent Women's Volleyball teams and awards. Illinois Institute of Technology is well-represented, as the Scarlet Hawk earned four First Team selections, one Second Team selection, the Setter of the Year, and the Rookie of the Year.

Adriane Walther and Alyssa Miner each earned First Team honors while also receiving individual awards. Walther was named the association's Setter of the Year, ranking second among AD3I players with 7.33 a/set and 814 total assists. She led all setters in digs (357) and blocks (59) by a wide margin while also tallying 34 service aces. The honors follow up a Second Team All-American Selection from the USCAA.

Miner's strong freshman season earned her Rookie of the Year honors to go along with her First Team selection. Playing predominantly in the middle, the Illinois native ranked third in the association in blocks (68) and seventh in kills (171).

Irena Grauzinis, who was already an All-American Honorable Mention from the USCAA, also earned AD3I First Team honors. Grauzinis ranked second in kills (318), third in k/set (2.86), third in digs (394), and ninth in service aces (40) in the association, making her one of the orginization's most versatile players.

Jelena Vujicic join Grauzinis as Tech outside hitters earning First Team honors. The sophomore ranked fourh in AD3I in kills (228) and seventh in k/set (2.05) in her first season as a Scarlet Hawk.

Chelsea Badiola also was recognized by AD3I, earning Second Team honors. The libero ranked second in the association in digs (419) and third in d/set (3.92).
