Lisle, Ill. - Down 0-1 in their NACC Women's Volleyball Tournament opener at Benedictine, Illinois Tech won the next two sets, overcame dropping set four before closing out the Eagles in a hard-fought 3-2 victory Tuesday night. The Hawks (18-11 overall) advance to the semi-final round Thursday night at Concordia University Wisconsin. The Eagles finished the season 16-12 overall.

How It Happened
- Set 1: The Hawks held a 5-4 lead before the Eagles went on runs of five, three and three points to take build a 15-8 lead en route to their 25-19 first set victory.
- Set 2: The Hawks opened with a 4-1 lead, but the Eagles responded with four straight points to go up 5-4. The teams traded runs, with the Eagles leading 23-19 before the Hawks took the next six points to win 25-23.
- Set 3: The Hawks found themselves in a 10-5 deficit before going on runs of three and six points to build a 14-11 lead. The Eagles tied it up at 14 and at 16 before the Hawks pulled away for the 25-17 win.
- Set 4: Illinois Tech held another 5-4 lead, but the Eagles once again responded with a run a five points to take the lead at 9-5. The Hawks would not get closer than two points the rest of the way as Benedictine prevailed 25-17.
- Set 5: In a back and forth deciding set, the two teams traded points and were tied at 11 until the Hawks ran off four straight points to win the set 15-11 and the match 3-2.

- Briar Moore had 18 kills for the Scarlet Hawks, Emily Graham had 11; Jessica Weaver had eight kills with a .389 hit percentage.
- Grace Reckamp had 25 assists, with Allison Wilkins adding 14 assists to go along with her three service aces.
- Kelsey Starnes had 17 digs to pace the Hawks, with Moore adding 15.
- Justine Bracco led the Hawks with four blocks, while Graham had three.
- The Eagles were led by Caroline O'Connor (17 kills, .262), Jamie Janczak (25 assists), Courtney Levy (25 digs), Alyssa Mojica (5 service aces) and Yngride JeanPhillipe (9 blocks).
