Women's Cross Country Competes at UW-Oshkosh

WINNECONNE, Wis.- The Illinois Institute of Technology women's cross country team competed at one of the toughest meets in the region on Saturday: the UW-Oshkosh AAE Invitational. All three Tech participants competed well in the large field, as 251 participants and over 20 schools competed in the 6k race.

Quote from Coach Joel Williams

  • "The women were focused on this being a dry run for the USCAA Championships in a few weeks," said Williams. "Caitlyn was out for almost two weeks and came back to run her fastest time of the season. She still has a lot more left in her. She didn't get intimidated by the athletes from cross country power conferences like the MIAA, WIAC or CCIW. Caitlyn stayed focused on running her own race. The twins again stayed shoulder to shoulder the entire race and only  1/10 of a second separated them at the finish.
