Women's Swimming and Diving Wins Ted Erikson Invite

CHICAGO, Ill.- The Illinois Institute of Technology women's swimming and diving team hosted the five-team Ted Erikson Invite on Saturday afternoon. Illinois Tech won the event.

Meet Highlights

  • The Scarlet Hawks started the day fast with the top two finishers in the 200 Yard Medley Relay. Kristin Wills, Brigitte Temple, Briana Tyler, and Jasmine Duke placed first with a time of 1:57.61.
  • Madeline Lane won the first individual event, taking the 1000 Yard Freestyle at 12:03.52.
  • In the 100 Yard Baskstroke, Duke took first place with a time of 1:03.27. She also later won the 100 Yard Freestyle at 55.38s and the 200 Yard Individual Medley at 2:21.19.
  • Temple continued her success with a successful 100 Yard Breaststroke, placing first at 1:12.41. She also won the 100 Yard Butterlfy at 1:06.46.
  • Tyler also built off the relay win with a dominant performance in the 200 Yard Butterfly, as her 2:21.87 time won the event by over 20 seconds.
  • Grace Wischmeyer won the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a 2:40.88 time.
  • Wills continued Tech's winning ways with a 500 Yard Freestyle victory (5:42.42).
