Why IIT?: "I actually first discovered IIT through an internet search.  I knew I wanted to major in Architectural Engineering, so I googled a list of the top Architectural Engineering schools in the US.  In the top 10 of course was IIT.  I then looked further into the school and discovered that it was in Chicago, which is both an amazing city and not terribly far from home.  They also had a swim team on which I could conceivable swim.  By the time I finished some cursory research I was pretty much sold.  I then scheduled a visit to the school, where I met great people in the Admissions Office and my future swim coach.  After the visit I just had a great feeling about this school.  I went on a few more visits, including Scholarship Weekend, and met many more great people.  Sometime later I received the news that I had gotten the Camras Scholarship.  At that point, IIT was not only one of my more favorite schools, but it was also one of the more affordable.  Finally, my decision came down to a mixture of academics, location, financial aid, swimming, and atmosphere.  All in all, I am very happy with my choice."

Fun Fact: "One time my club swim team had a doughnut practice.  This meant that we would eat an entire doughnut and then immediately after sprint 100 yards.  I tied for first after having eaten a dozen doughnuts, although technically I ate my doughnuts faster than the other kid ate his so I think I won."
