MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Illinois Institute of Technology guard Julia Bucci (Greenville, S.C.) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 8-14, 2021, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Bucci, a freshman, averaged 30 points per game this past week in helping the Scarlet Hawks secure consecutive wins, including the program's first victory since February 2019. She had 39 points on 13-of-20 shooting, including eight 3-pointers in a 74-55 win at Mount Mary on Nov. 10. Bucci followed that effort up with 21 points in an 81-79 home win over Blackburn on Nov. 12 before departing early with an injury. For the week, Bucci shot 51.3 percent (20-of-31) from the field, 55.6 percent (10-of-18) from behind the arc, and 76.9 percent (10-of-13) from the line while also averaging 9.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.
