Interim Head Coach Billy Bafia's Comments

"Whitewater is a terrific team to compete against. We had a lot of close races which made it a very exciting way to cheer on our teammates and get everyone in the pool area energized. We have a lot to learn as a team from our first competition. These next few weeks leading up to our mid-season meet will be critical to enter that meet exactly where we need to be as a team." Bafia went on to say: "Our first-years had an incredible open to their collegiate careers. Very proud of all of them for stepping up to the plate and supporting the team." He finished with "Our divers are showing tremendous progress with only 5 weeks under their belts. We are excited to see where they will be by our conference meet at the end of the season. I'm excited to support [assistant coach - diving] Dar [Novak] and the team as an integral part of our program and the competition schedule we have lined up for this year."

Assistant Coach Mac Robertson's Comments

"It was a great day to kick off our dual meet season. Our first-year athletes were able to step up to the plate with multiple event wins in just their first collegiate meet while our veteran athletes continued to lead in the pool. The positive energy on deck will definitely lead us through the next few weeks."
