She arrived at IIT by way of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where she earned many athletic accolades including NCAA DII All-American, All- Region and All- PSAC honors. Furthermore she was named Atlantic Region Runner of the Year, PSAC Runner of the year, and earned the Nancy Acker Female Athlete of the Year award in her tenure at Edinboro. 

 

Since graduation she has developed her knowledge of health and fitness through holding a management position at Orangetheory Fitness in Clearwater Florida followed by management/development of the fitness and spa department at The Pelican Golf Club in Belleair Florida. She is also a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. 

 

Jones holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Performance. While at Edinboro she participated and developed research in the field of Sports Psychology titled “ The Running and Problem Solving Questionnaire (RPSQ): An Investigation of the Internal Consistency of the Questionnaire and the relationship with flow”. Also she expanded her knowledge of Cross Country and Track through a one year independent study with Edinboro’s Head Track Coach Anne Cleary.
