WAUKESHA, WIS.—Illinois Institute of Technology baseball sophomore pitcher Austin Richardson landed March 23 NACC South Division Pitcher of the Week. Richardson is the first Scarlet Hawk to earn a NACC Player of the Week honor in 2020-21.
The Plainfield, Illinois native picked up his first collegiate pitching victory in a 5-1 decision over Wisconsin Lutheran College on March 20. Richardson allowed just two hits, one run, two walks, and registered 15 strikeouts over seven innings pitched.
Richardson and the Scarlet Hawks will return to action on Wednesday, March 24, when they host Concordia (Wis.) (DH) at 1:00 p.m.
