Chicago, Ill. - At the end of May, Illinois Tech baseball player Brandon Bennitt was named to the D3baseball.com All-Region, Region 8 team, as well as the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Region, Region 8 team to round out his career as a Scarlet Hawk. 

Bennitt, a senior shortstop, was named to Third Team All-Region for both D3baseball.com and the ABCA. 

For the Hawks, the Mokena, Ill. native closed out his senior season with 168 at-bats, 47 runs, 59 hits, 16 doubles, 1 triple, 9 home runs, 33 RBI’s, 5 stolen bases, and a slash line of .351/.458/.619. Bennitt led the team in runs and doubles. 

In his career, Bennitt played in 149 games, recorded 547 at-bats, had 192 hits, 49 doubles, 8 triples, 19 home runs, 117 RBI’s, 30 stolen bases, and a slash line of .351/.438/.574.
