Season Ends in First Round Loss at Concordia (Wis.)

MEQUON, WIS.—The Illinois Institute of Technology men's basketball team snuck into the 2019-20 NACC Men's Basketball Tournament on the final day of the regular season, and booked themselves the No. 6 seed and a date at No. 3 Concordia University (Wis.) on Tuesday night. The Scarlet Hawks, who entered Tuesday with a five-game win streak, failed to score within the final 7:00 of the contest as they dropped a 68-63 decision to the Falcons.

The Scarlet Hawks end their 2019-20 season with a 12-14 overall record while Concordia (Wis.) advances to the NACC Tournament Semifinal at No. 2 Wisconsin Lutheran on Thursday with a 17-9 mark.

Ahmad Muhammad sank a trio of three-pointers in the second half, which included one with 7:00 left that gave Illinois Tech a 63-61 advantage. That proved to be IIT's final points of the contest as the Falcons closed things with a 7-0 run en route to a 68-63 victory.

Max Hisatake was all over the stat sheet for the Scarlet Hawks as he collected his 20th double double of the season with 19 points and 17 rebounds along with five blocks. Muhammad finished with 16 points along with five assists while Milos Dugalic tallied 11 points on a trio of three-point baskets for the Scarlet Hawks. 

With the loss, the Scarlet Hawks bid farewell to seniors Max Hisatake and Ricardo Whitehead
