AURORA, ILL.—The Illinois Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team returned from a 14-day hiatus from competition on Saturday, when they traveled to Aurora University. The Scarlet Hawks drew first blood when James Enterline's first career goal with 12:55 left in the first quarter made the score 1-0 before the Spartans came back and secured a 19-4 victory.

Aidan Gans paced Illinois Tech with two goals on six shots, while Aerex Freeman notched the other Scarlet Hawks goal. Christopher Stone led the Illinois Tech face-off efforts with a 7-of-16 figure that included five ground balls.
Reed Tangeman paced the Scarlet Hawks with eight shots.
Aurora's Andy Trenary led all players with four goals.
Zane Handy played the first 30:00 in net for Illinois Tech, and made six saves before Dominic Reed and Jack Coyle combined for seven saves in the second half. Phillip Gianelle and Aric Vale each saw 30:00 in net for Aurora, and combined for 12 saves. The Spartans outshot Illinois Tech 48-33.
The Scarlet Hawks will return to action on Saturday, April 3 when they open NACC play at MSOE. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
