BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich.- The Illinois Institute of Technology men's soccer team (1-2-1) dropped to 1-2-1 on Friday afternoon, falling 3-2 to Andrews University on the road.
How It Happened
- The Scarlet Hawks took an early lead in the fifth minute. Noah Griffith added his fourth goal of the year off a pass from Juan Arjona Belmonte.
- In the 17th minute, the Scarlet Hawks scored once again. Diego Gutierrez Coronel knocked in a shot, with Arjona Belmonte tallying another assist to put Illinois Tech up 2-0.
- Andrews would strike back before the half ended, scoring two goals (30th and 40th minute) to tie things at 2-2 at halftime.
- After a stalemate for most of the second half, Andrews took the lead in the 75th minute and held strong for the rest of the contest.
