CHICAGO, Ill. – Illinois Tech's men's soccer battled back from an 0-2 deficit on Wednesday night, emerging with a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Finlandia Lions.

 

How It Happened

  • The Scarlet Hawks started off slowly and conceded a goal in the 26th minute and the score stayed at 1-0 Lions going into halftime.
  • A Tech miscue allowed the Lions to jump out to a 2-0 lead in the 51st minute.
  • Tech would bounce back with two quick goals in the 51st and 53rd minute to tie the game.
  • Anthony Paiotti provided late game heroics with a great finish to make it 3-2. Watch the video here.

  • Ryan Fagan scored one goal and forced an own goal to tie the game at 2-2.
  • Paiotti provided the game winning goal off an assist from Devin Zakeri.
  • Adam Falcigno had three saves in the win.
