Chicago, Ill. - Mateo Sanchez scored the equalizer goal late in the second half, David Glazener made several spectacular saves, and the Illinois Tech men's soccer team held on for a 1-1 double-overtime draw against third place Milwaukee School of Engineering Wednesday night at Stuart Field. The Scarlet Hawks moved to 5-9-1 overall (1-6-1 NACC). The Raiders moved to 7-3-3 overall (5-0-2 NACC).
How It Happened
- After a scoreless first half, the Raiders got on the board first in the 49th minute when Zach Thompson took a long clearing from Steven Arthur down the far side, ran past a defender who had slipped, and put the ball in the left corner for his third goal of the season.
- The Hawks responded in the 78th minute when Michael Kaczowka fed a cross into the box that Sanchez was able to corrall and fire past Raiders goalkeeper Ron Marchionna for his third goal of the season to tie the score.
- The Raiders fired eight shots total in the two 10-minute overtime periods, including three on goal, but were denied by the combination of Glazener and bad luck with crossbars.

- Glazener saved 9 of 10 shots on goal, several saves of the outstanding variety.
- Kaczowka's assist gave him points in four straight matches.
