Men's Soccer Welcomes 17 New Players For Upcoming Season

Chicago, Ill - Illinois Tech men's soccer will be welcoming seventeen new players to the team when play begins this fall.

The incoming class is comprised of seven Chicago-area products, one from central Illinois, along with players from Wisconsin, Florida, Maryland, New York, Sweden, Norway, Greece and Ghana.

"I'm very excited to welcome a strong, versatile and diverse group to our 2023 incoming recruiting class." Head Coach Marc Colwell said. "Our coaching staff did a great job of identifying student-athletes that fit our team culture and all of them are driven to excel on and off the field. We have added players that can compete at every position on the field. We expect some players to compete for playing time right away and others will help push our talented returning group. I can’t wait to get started this fall” said Colwell.

The seventeen new players are:

  • Jostein Blindheim - Molde, Norway (Grad transfer - North Park University)

  • Jacob Charters - Willowbrook, Illinois (Chicago Inter)

  • Lorenzo Fedele - North Miami, Florida (Plantation FC MLS Next)

  • Dimitrios Koronaios - Athens, Greece (Atromitos FC)

  • Dominik Kroupa - Bensenville, Illinois (Chicago Stars FC)

  • Umar Farouk Moro - Kumasi, Ghana (Soccer4Souls FC)

  • Brennan Paradiso - Kimberly, Wisconsin (FC Wisconsin)

  • Tomas Rebelatto - Gaithersburg, Maryland (Go Premier)

  • David Rodriguez - Campbell Hall, New York (STA)

  • Jacob Skiba - Homer Glen, Illinois (Chicago Inter 05 Red)

  • Hayden Stringer - Milwaukee, Wisconsin (FC Wisconsin)

  • Colin Thomas - Helsingborg, Sweden (Eskilsminne IF U19 Academy)

The Scarlet Hawks will begin pre-season play on Sunday, August 20th when they host a scrimmage versus Triton College at 6:00 PM at Stuart Field. They will host Blackburn College on Saturday, August 26th at 3:30 PM in another exhibition match, before opening regular season play on Friday, September 1st against Olivet College at 6:00 PM at Stuart Field.
