Men’s Swimming and Diving Defeated at Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Julian and Ryan Escasa each won individual races on Saturday as the Illinois Tech men's swimming and diving team fell to Lake Forest College 146-73. It was Tech's final dual of the regular season in advance of the Liberal Arts Championships.

Scarlet Hawk Standouts

  • Ryan Escasa got the first win of the afternoon for the Scarlet Hawks in the 100 Meter Butterfly with a time of 1:01.
  • Julian Escasa took the first spot in the 100 Meter Freestyle, clocking in at 55.14s. He also earned a second place finish in the 50 Meter Freestyle with a final time of 25.38s.
  • Samuel Kalenowski took the runner-up spot in the 200 Meter Freestyle, finishing at 2:09.32.
  • Seth Wissenbach came in second in the 200 Meter Individual Medley with a time of 2:19.18.
  • Matthew Randle finished in the second position of the 100 Meter Backstroke with a time of 1:03.46.
