Scarlet Hawks Bounce Warriors 5-0 in NACC Tournament Semifinal

CHICAGO—The No. 1 seed Illinois Institute of Technology men's tennis team registered a 5-0 decision over No. 5 seed Wisconsin Lutheran College in a NACC Tournament Semifinal Match at the XS-Tennis Center on Thursday. The Scarlet Hawks will face No. 2 seed Concordia (Wis.) in the NACC Tournament Championship Match on Sunday, May 9 at Sports Core in Kohler, Wisconsin at 3:00 p.m.

The Scarlet Hawks improve to 6-0 while Wisconsin Lutheran College concludes their season with a 4-8 record.

The doubles flight resulted in two 8-0 victories courtesy of Brody Croonquist/Jordan Lauer (No. 2) and Adam Laitinen/Roman Shishlov (No. 3). Alann Torres/Nabil Fawaz capitalized on an 8-2 decision over Matt Bass/Quinn Wedel in No. 1 doubles.

The Scarlet Hawks converted the 5-0 decision when Torres defeated Bass 6-1, 6-0 in No. 1 singles, followed by Adam Laitinen's 6-1, 6-0 win over Josh Hennen in No. 6 singles.
