SOMERS, Wis. - The Illinois Institute of Technology men's track and field team competed at the UW-Parkside Invitational on Saturday. Illinois Tech placed seventh.
Meet Highlights
- Freshman Cole Dammeier picked up right where he left off after his strong cross country season, winning the 3000 meter event with a time of 9:32.48.
- In the 300 meter, Demis Thomas placed fifth at 39.02s. Thomas also placed eighth in the 55 meter dash (6.93s), following Tech's John Xavier (6.91s).
- Quentin Shipley-Mellon placed seventh in the mile with a time of 5:08.34.
- In the shot put, Joseph Yassin placed sixth with a throw of 12.87m.
