Scarlet Hawks Finished Olivet Nazarene Invite

RESULTS

BOURBONNAIS, ILL.—The Illinois Institute of Technology men's track & field team embarked on the Olivet Nazarene Invite on Saturday, where a plethora of solid marks were achieved. 

Thomas Doyle set the tone in the 1000 meter run with a 2:36.38, good enough for third place out of 13 competitors. Louis Ketchman followed Doyle in eighth place with a 2:50.81. 

Evan Balizado deadlocked himself in a tie for fifth place in the 600 meter run with a 1:26.17. 

Julian Go highlighted IIT in the 3000 meter run with a 40th-place time of 9:31.17. The 200 meter dash saw Dillon Mattis notch 46th place with a 25.24, while Christian Allen wasn't far behind in 51st place with a 25.37. Austin Worley registered 55th place in the 200 meter dash with a 25.51. 

Barry Brookins paced the Illinois Tech field athletes in the shot put with a 11.39m, good enough for 27th place. 

The Scarlet Hawks will return to action on Saturday, February 8 at the North Central College (Ill.) Invite. Festivities will begin at 10:30 a.m.
