CHICAGO, Ill.- The Illinois Institute of Technology men's volleyball team took a short drive to St. Xavier University on Thursday night. Tech fell in straight sets.

How it Happened
- Tech kept set one close early, trading points until the Cougars went on a 5-2 run to take an 8-5 lead. The Cougars slowly built an advantage, but Tech cut the deficit down to three at 23-20 on a Filip Letkiewicz kill. SXU scored two of the final three points to take set one.
- The Scarlet Hawks were close early in set two as well, but the Cougars took control. SXU pulled away to win 25-12.
- In the third set, the Scarlet Hawks never led, but remained close the entire match. Down 23-20 late, Alex Babusci recorded a kill to pull to within two. However, the Cougars would score the match's final two points to win.
Scarlet Hawk Standouts
- Babusci extended his double-digit kill streak to seven, recording 12 on the day.
- Michael Drews tallied seven kills.
- Allan Huang led the Hawks with seven digs.
- Andrew Woltman totaled 26 assists, his second-highest total of the year.
