Stars Get Past Scarlet Hawks

CHICAGO—The Illinois Institute of Technology women's basketball team hosted Dominican University in a Saturday-afternoon showdown at the Keating Sports Center. Shannon O'Donnell inched closer to 1,000 career points with a game-high 18 for the Scarlet Hawks in a 66-38 loss to the Stars.

IIT falls to 0-20, 0-15 NACC while Dominican improves to 15-7, 11-6 NACC.

O'Donnell sits at 991 career points, and needs nine more to hit 1,000. She also added seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Erin Nelson hit a trio of three-pointers en route to 11 points. Twelve Dominican players saw playing time, and were led by Alexis Hoskins and Alisha Markley's 15 points a piece. Amari Stafford rounded out the double figure Stars scorers with 11 points. 

The Scarlet Hawks will return to action on Tuesday, February 11 at first-place Benedictine University. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
