Plymouth, Wis. - The Illinois Tech women's basketball team didn't find a warm welcome in their weekend trip to Wisconsin, as the Scarlet Hawks dropped their second game of road trip, falling to Lakeland University 79-45. The Scarlet Hawks dropped to 4-11 overall(1-8 NACC). The Muskies improved to 8-7(4-4 NACC).
The depth of the Muskies overmatched the short-handed Hawks, as the Lakeland bench outscored the Illinois Tech bench 40-3. Points in the paint was another challenge for the Hawks, as the Muskies outpaced them 34-8 in that category.
The Muskies shooting also carried the day, as they averaged 43.5 percent from the field, and 40 percent from three-point range.
Scarlet Hawk Standouts
- Julia Bucci paced the Hawks with 21 points, and seven rebounds.
- Deriniece Moton added 11 points.
- Meredith Williams pulled down six rebounds.
Muskies Watch
- Kerstin Sauerbrei had 15 points and five rebounds.
- Ellie Felsinger added nine points and 10 rebounds.
- 14 different players scored for the Muskies.
