MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Illinois Institute of Technology guard/forward Erin Nelson (Chicago, Ill.) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 13-19, 2021, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Nelson, a senior who is slated to graduate at the end of the fall semester, played in the final basketball game of her Illinois Tech career in a 59-46 win over Mount Mary on Dec. 14. She went out on a high note, scoring 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting while pulling down 11 rebounds with a steal and an assist. The victory was the team's third of the season, which was one more victory than Nelson had experienced in her first three seasons with the program combined.
