CHICAGO, Ill. – The Illinois Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team has netted some more postseason honors. On Friday, the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference revealed its All-Academic team. Six different Scarlet Hawks received the distinction:
Student-Athletes required a 3.30 grade point average to receive the MWLC All-Academic Award. A total of 72 student-athletes from the league's 10 schools qualified.
The Scarlet Hawks finished the 2015 season with a 13-4-1 overall and 7-1 MWLC record. The team also received six different MWLC All-Conference Awards last month, as well as Kirk Lamitie's MWLC Coach of the Year honor.
