Concordia-Wisconsin Halts Women's Lacrosse

MEQUON, Wis. - The Illinois Tech women's lacrosse team competed against a tough Concordia-Wisconsin team on Tuesday in a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference match. The Scarlet Hawks fell to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play with a 15-7 lost.
 
How it Happened
  • The Scarlet Hawks struggled to start the match, breaking a 6-0 Falcon run on a free position goal courtesy of Madison Meredith in the 27th minute.
  • With the Hawks down 8-1 at halftime, Tech made some key adjustments to its offense in the second half. Alyssa DeLuca scored twice in the first seven minutes of the half to make the score 9-3.
  • Over the next seven minutes, DeLuca would score once more while Meredith tallied twice, drawing Tech closer at 11-6.
  • CUW responded with a 4-0 run, but DeLuca was able to net one last goal for the Scarlet Hawks with 3:42 left to play.
Scarlet Hawk Standouts
  • Jennifer Young was outstanding in goal, stopping an astounding 15 shots in net.
  • DeLuca (four goals) and Meredith (three goals, one assist) produced for Tech on offense.
