CHICAGO, Ill. – The Illinois Tech women's swimming and diving team made the short drive to Hyde Park on Friday night, competing in the first day of the three-day University of Chicago Phoenix Fall Classic. Through three events, Tech sits in seventh place in the 10-team meet with a total of 57 points.
Meet Highlights
- Tech's top 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Christina Hiotaky, Tessa Skubal, Briana Tyler, and Jamie Wurster placed 19th with a time of 1:46.22.
- In the 1650 Yard Freestyle, Katherine Lydon earned points with a fifth-place finish (18:18.37). Delaney Shepherd also swam strong, placing 14th at 19:26.47.
- Kristin Wills, Brigitte Temple, Tyler, and Lydon combined for a 14th place finish in the 400 Yard Medley Relay, clocking in at 4:10.24.

- Women's swimming and diving will resume action tomorrow morning at Chicago. Preliminaries will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the finals of the day's events taking place at 6:00 p.m.
