On July 7th, the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the 2023 Individual Scholar All-Americans. Illinois Tech Swimming & Diving seniors Anna Slominski and Mark Klinchin earned the honors of being named to the All-America team
Slominski, a Civil Engineering major, was named a First-Team Scholar All-America. To be recognized, “a student-athlete must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.50 and participate in their respective national championship.”
Klinchin, a Computer Science major, was named a Second-Team Scholar All-America. To be recognized a student-athlete must have also “earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher and met the “B” time standard for the national championship or participated in a diving zone qualification meet.”
In total, 2,290 student-athletes were recognized as Scholar All-Americans for the 2022-23 season. In Division III, 561 student-athletes were recognized.
